CLD Board Meeting Minutes July 27, 2020

President Teresa Litchfield called our July 27th Board Meeting to order at 7:05p. The following members gathered online for our meeting: John Simpson, Leslie Burket, Casey Eiten, Marilyn Weber, Katie Keim, Judy Nordstrom, Alice Martin, Jordan Wilton, Martin and Malcolm Kuhn and Kate Fleming-Kuhn.

TREASURER REPORT - KATIE KEIM

• Checking: $ 3,854.88

• Savings: $25,935.60

• Teresa has signed the bank papers and is now able to access the bank account.

WEBMASTER REPORT – MARTIN KUHN

• Nothing to report this month.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR – JORDAN WILTON

• We have one new member this month.

SYMPOSIUM CHAIR – KATE FLEMING-KUHN

As we continue to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is unlikely we will be able to host any ‘live’ activity/clinic this year. The possibility of a ‘webinar’ was discussed but does not yet seem possible.

NEWSLETTER – ALICE MARTIN

Articles for the next newsletter should be sent to Alice Martin by Friday, August 4th. Target publish date is by August 7th.

CLASSIC SHOWS – JOHN SIMPSON

• John reminded us that we need to submit our application for our Classic shows for 2021 at the Coliseum.

• Teresa is working on securing the 2021 competition licenses from USDF and USEF for our Classic Shows.

NEW BUSINESS

It is unlikely that we will be able to host our standard Banquet and Awards program this year, due to COVID-19’s recent increased activity. We do want to recognize our award winners as they receive their award. Several options were suggested. To help collect some ideas, there will be a survey distributed to members for feedback and ideas. John and Nancy Simpson have volunteered to distribute the awards to each winner if we have no gathering.

Come prepared to discuss a slate of officers for next year, 2021.

Judy motioned and Martin 2nd to adjourn our meeting at 7:51pm.

Our next meeting is scheduled for August 24th, 2020, 7:00p.
