CLD April 17 Board Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. In attendance were President Judy Nordstrom, Chantae Erickson, Katie Keim, Alice Martin, John Simpson, and Marilyn Weber.
Deb Bonner had voted via email to approve the minutes. Alice seconded. Motion carried.

Eighteen people attended the grooming and braiding clinic producing 9 new members.

Icebreaker: Food will be available at the show. Taft’s will be set up by the livestock center. Sport horse in hand classes will be in the coliseum Sunday morning and will need a scribe. In hand should run from 8 – 11:10. Rides will be in the covered arena from 9-3:40. A scribe will be needed for Susan Posner from 12:30 – 3:40. Ring stewards will be needed Sunday at the coliseum from 8-noon and at the covered arena from 9-3:40. Marilyn will contact Wendy Tucker to verify her scribe time. All positions are believed to be filled.

Judy would like to have a fund raiser. Judy suggested Karl Luthin talk about his horse work in movies. Tae suggested a silent auction perhaps at the awards dinner. Discussion is tabled for now.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
