February 27, 2022 MEETING MINUTES
CLD Board Meeting Minutes February 27, 2022
President Teresa Litchfield called the meeting to order at 7:14pm. Attendees included Leslie Burket, Marilyn Weber, Teresa Litchfield, Alice Martin and Tae Erickson.
A warm welcome to all!
CLASSIC SHOWS
Just a reminder – there will be no Classic Show in 2022 but we are planning on hosting a Classic show in 2023. If we do a Level 2 show, Teresa could be the Show Manager and has volunteered to take on the responsibility. A Level 3 show will require a qualified show manager and we would have to hire one. Teresa will reach out to John about judges.
SCHOOLING SHOWS
FireCracker and Arab Inc./IceBreaker will be our schooling shows. After a short discussion about show fees, the following was decided for the FireCracker show.
The office fee will be $25.00, per stall fee will be $75.00 and the non-member fee will be $35.00.
As expenses are rising, we discussed the option of having a ‘sponsor’ or ‘sponsors’ for our FireCracker show. This will be discussed in our next meeting.
Volunteers are needed for the schooling shows – IceBreaker/Arab Inc. and Firecracker.
OMNIBUS
It was mentioned we contact Jeanie Craver as she has prepared the Omnibus for most all of our shows. Teresa reached out to Jeanne who was most gracious in helping us, once again, to complete our Omnibus.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Valentine Potluck/Social was held February 13th at StarWest. About twenty folks came out to enjoy the potluck and join in the games. Theresa Smith collected three memberships, two renewals and one new membership.
Alice Martin is accepting articles, etc, for the newsletter. Please send all newsletter information to her prior to February 24, 2022. Look for the Reader in your email box after February 26th!!
Our next meeting with be Sunday, March 19th at 3:30 pm.
Marilyn motioned and Tae seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 pm.
