April 11, 2022 MEETING MINUTES
CLD Board Meeting Minutes April 11, 2022
President Teresa Litchfield called the meeting to order at 7:08pm. Attendees included Leslie Burket, Judy Nordstrom, Theresa Smith, Marilyn Weber, John Simpson, Alice Martin, Tae Erickson and Teresa Litchfield.
A warm welcome to all!
CLASSIC SHOWS
Will be returning in 2023 and we are watching our deadlines, completing the paper work and securing judges and TD.
SCHOOLING SHOWS
Tae is working on the awards (saddle pads, etc) for the FireCracker show.
We are going to create a ‘hang up flyer’ for the FireCracker show. This informative flyer will be posted and handed out to barns and other shows. Martin will also send a ‘blast’ to get the word out!
MISCELLANEOUS:
Membership Chair – Theresa Smith announced we are 40 members strong! We are growing!
Omnibus: Jeanne was most gracious in helping us, once again, to complete our Omnibus. Judy moved we pay Jeanne $50.00, Marilyn seconded and it passed.
John will bring the small arena and set it up for the IceBreaker show.
The Scribing clinic was well attended. We now have a larger pool of scribes to support our shows.
We are looking at options to ‘open’ a board meeting for members to ‘observe’ what we do and how they can be part of the group.
Alice Martin, Editor of ‘The Reader’ (our newsletter), is accepting articles, etc, for the newsletter. Please send all newsletter information (articles, pictures, stories, etc to her prior to May 18th. Look for the Reader in your email box in early June!
Our next Board Meeting will be Monday, May 16th at 7pm.
John motioned to adjourn and Marilyn seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:07pm.
